PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER (w/ No. 1 Engine Cover)

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. SEPARATE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

    1. Remove the bolt and separate the No. 1 air cleaner inlet.

  7. REMOVE ECM

    1. Raise the 2 levers while pushing the locks on the levers, and disconnect the 2 connectors from the ECM.

      Note:

      After disconnecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts, clamp and ECM.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 ECM BRACKET

    1. Remove the 2 screws and No. 1 ECM bracket.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 ECM BRACKET

    1. Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 ECM bracket.
