DESCRIPTION

Moving the shift lever to M or E enables the gear selection. The driver can select gears optionally by operating the "+" or "-" paddle switch.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (SPORT SHIFT UP SW / SPORT SHIFT DOWN SW)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Multi-Mode M/T / Data List.

    5. In accordance with the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

    1. Disconnect the TCM connector.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)

    1. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery.

    2. Wait for at least 90 seconds.

    3. Remove the steering wheel assembly.

    4. Remove the steering column cover.

    5. Disconnect the spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

    6. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      E6-2 (ECC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    1. Disconnect the TCM connector.

    2. Disconnect the spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E104-8 (SFTD) - E6-7 (SDN) Always Below 1 Ω
      E104-8 (SFTD) or E6-7 (SDN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E104-9 (SFTU) - E6-14 (SUP) Always Below 1 Ω
      E104-9 (SFTU) or E6-14 (SUP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Connect the TCM connector.

    5. Connect the spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

    1. Disconnect the steering pad switch connector from the spiral cable sub-assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below when the shift paddle switch is moved to each position.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Connect the transmission shift switch LH and RH connector.
