СИСТЕМА ECD, Diagnostic DTC:P2453

DTC Code DTC Name
P2453 Diesel Particulate Filter Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance

DESCRIPTION

Tip:
  • For more information on the differential pressure sensor assembly and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), refer to the following procedures.

  • If the vacuum transmitting hose assemblies of the differential pressure sensor assembly are incorrectly connected (crossed), the ECM interprets this as an abnormal pressure difference, DTC P2453 (Diesel Particulate Filter Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance) is stored and the MIL illuminates.

Refer to DTC P2454.

Tip:
  • DTC P2454 (Diesel Particulate Filter Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit Low) and/or DTC P2455 (Diesel Particulate Filter Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit High) will be stored if there is an open or short malfunction in the differential pressure sensor assembly circuit.

  • After confirming DTC P2453, check the differential pressure in "Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / All Data / DPF Differential Pressure" using the GTS.

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

In order to detect abnormality in the differential pressure sensor assembly, the ECM always monitors the output voltage from the sensor. When the sensor output voltage is a reversal of positive and negative pressure, the ECM interprets this as an incorrect vacuum hose arrangement of the sensor, or determines that the vacuum hoses are clogged, and illuminates the MIL.

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN

DTC No. DTC Detection Drive Pattern
P2453 Engine is running at 4000 rpm with no load for 10 seconds or more.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:

After replacing the ECM, the new ECM needs registration (Click here) and initialization (Click hereНажмите здесь).

Tip:

Read freeze frame data using the GTS. Freeze frame data records the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK OTHER DTC OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P2453)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.

    4. Read the DTCs.

Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Trouble Codes

      DTC P2453 is outputA
DTC P2453 and other DTCs are outputB
      Tip:

If any DTCs other than P2453 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

  3. CHECK BLOCKAGE OF VACUUM TRANSMITTING HOSE ASSEMBLY AND VACUUM TRANSMITTING PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    ОСТОРОЖНО

Be careful of being burned by exhaust gases during the following inspection.

    1. Disconnect the both vacuum transmitting hose assemblies (upstream and downstream) from the differential pressure sensor assembly.

    2. Start the engine.

    3. Check if there are exhaust gas pulsations from both vacuum transmitting hose assemblies during idle.

      OK
      Exhaust gas pulsation exists.
