DTCs which are stored in the TCM can be displayed on the GTS or generic OBD scan tool.
CHECK DTC (Using GTS)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Multi-Mode M/T / Trouble Codes.
Powertrain > Multi-Mode M/T > Trouble CodesCheck DTCs and freeze frame data, and write them down.

The GTS can display current DTC data, pending DTC data and historical DTC data. Touch the [Current], [Pending] or [History] button in the DTC display screen.
[Current]: Displays current DTC data
[Pending]: Displays pending DTC data
[History]: Displays historical DTC data (past codes)
FREEZE FRAME DATA
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Multi-Mode M/T / Trouble Codes.
Powertrain > Multi-Mode M/T > Trouble CodesSelect the parameters to check the freeze frame data.
Take a note of the DTC and freeze frame data.
"!" displayed in red to the left of DTC data indicates that freeze frame data has been recorded for that data.

CLEAR DTCs AND FREEZE FRAME DATA (Using GTS)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Multi-Mode M/T / Trouble Codes.
Clear the DTCs.
Powertrain > Multi-Mode M/T > Clear DTCsClear DTCs and freeze frame data by pressing the YES button on the GTS.
